Can I rent a porta potty for just one day?
Yes. A one-day porta potty rental from Brian Rental Works is billed at one flat event rate that covers 1 to 3 days, including a weekend. Delivery and pickup are included in the quote. A unit for a one-day party arrives cleaned, sanitized and stocked, and does not need service during the rental.
Short-term rentals cover birthdays, church events, reunions, school sports, graduations and one-day work. Billing is per unit, not per hour.
Need restrooms longer than 3 days? See monthly porta potty rental, which includes weekly service.
My event is Saturday. When do you drop off and pick up the porta potty?
For a Saturday event, Brian Rental Works delivers the porta potty on Friday, or Thursday if Friday slots fill, and picks up on Monday. You pay the event rate only, with no charge for the extra days. Saturday delivery is possible on request, but Saturday slots are limited.
| Your event day | We deliver | We pick up | You pay |
|---|---|---|---|
| Saturday | Friday (or Thursday) | Monday | One event rate |
| Sunday | Friday or Saturday | Monday | One event rate |
| Saturday + Sunday | Friday | Monday | One event rate |
| Weekday (Mon–Fri) | Day before, or that morning | Next business day | One event rate |
| Friday night | Friday morning or Thursday | Saturday or Monday | One event rate |
What if my event is on a Sunday?
A Sunday event gets the same weekend plan. Brian Rental Works delivers on Friday or Saturday and picks up on Monday, because our trucks do not run on Sunday. The 3-day event rate covers Friday through Sunday, so most Sunday events cost no more than a Saturday event. Pickup is Monday.
For a Sunday church picnic or a family reunion, the unit sits ready from Friday or Saturday. Make sure the gate stays open or the code works through Monday for pickup.
Want the unit gone Sunday night? We cannot pick up on Sunday. Lock the unit or set the unit where it will not be in the way until Monday.
How does a one-day weekday porta potty rental work?
A one-day weekday porta potty rental is delivered the day before or the morning of the event and picked up the next business day. Ask for a morning delivery if the event starts early. The driver calls about 30 minutes before arrival. The rate is one flat event rate per unit.

How far ahead should I book a short-term porta potty?
Book standard porta potties about 1 week ahead for a regular weekend event. Book wheelchair-accessible units and restroom trailers 7–10 days ahead, because stock is limited. Peak dates like Fiesta Edinburg, Easter, July 4 and UTRGV football Saturdays book up earlier. Weekday units can often go out the same day.
| What you’re renting | Book this far ahead | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Standard units, regular weekend | About 1 week | Friday slots fill first |
| Standard units, weekday | 1–2 days (same day if you call by noon) | Weekday routes have more room |
| Wheelchair-accessible units | 7–10 days | Limited stock; sells out first on holidays |
| Restroom trailers, VIP cabins | 7–10 days | Few units; weddings book early |
| Peak dates | 2+ weeks | Fiesta Edinburg, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, UTRGV football Saturdays, quinceañera and wedding season |
Last-minute? Call by noon for same-day porta potty delivery. Free cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before delivery.
How many porta potties do I need for a one-day event?
Plan 1 standard porta potty per 50 guests for an event up to 4 hours. Multiply by 1.5 for up to 6 hours and by 2 for up to 8 hours, then round up. Add 1 unit for every 4 when alcohol is served. Add 1 handwashing station per 4 toilets when food is served.
| Guests | 4 hours | 6 hours | 8 hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | 1 | 2 | 2 |
| 100 | 2 | 3 | 4 |
| 150 | 3 | 5 | 6 |
| 200 | 4 | 6 | 8 |
| 300 | 6 | 9 | 12 |
Public events need at least 1 wheelchair-accessible unit. Use the full porta potty calculator for alcohol and food. City events may need a permit: the City of Edinburg Temporary Use Permit asks for a restroom authorization letter. See Edinburg event permits and restrooms.
Do short-term porta potty rentals include cleaning?
A short-term porta potty arrives pumped, sanitized and stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer. A 1-to-3-day event usually needs no service visit. Multi-day festivals and events with large crowds can add mid-event service to pump and restock. We clean and sanitize every unit again after pickup.
Running a festival or a 3-day tournament? See special event restrooms for mid-event service planning.
