What should I have ready when I call to rent a porta potty?

Have 6 things ready when you call to rent a porta potty: the delivery address or a map pin, your dates, the number of guests or workers, the unit type if you know it, any gate code or access notes, and the best phone number for the driver.

  • Delivery address, or a map pin drop for raw land or a field
  • Delivery date and pickup date (or “ongoing” for construction)
  • Guests and hours, or crew size
  • Unit type — or say “help me choose”
  • Gate width, gate code, dogs, low trees or power lines
  • Whether food or alcohol will be served
  • Who pays, and a PO number or tax-exempt certificate if you have one

Not sure how many units? Run the numbers first with our porta potty calculator.

How does payment and signing work for a porta potty rental?

Brian Rental Works texts you a secure payment link and confirms the booking by phone, so there is no paperwork to print. We take Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and debit. Someone else can pay with the link. Cancel or reschedule free up to 24 hours before delivery.

Full policies — cancellation, damage and billing — are in our rental terms.

When will the porta potty be delivered?

Brian Rental Works delivers porta potties between 7 AM and 7 PM, Monday through Saturday, and the driver calls about 30 minutes before arrival. Call by 12:00 PM for same-day delivery. Weekend events get a Friday drop-off and Monday pickup at no extra charge.

Nobody needs to be on site. Mark the spot with a cone, stake, ribbon or chalk X, and leave the gate open or text us the code. We don’t deliver or pick up on Sunday. Saturday deliveries are possible on request with limited slots. How same-day porta potty delivery works.

Where can the porta potty go, and will it fit through my gate?

A standard porta potty is about 44 inches wide, so the path needs a 48-inch clear opening. The driver can roll the unit about 15 feet from the truck on a dolly. The spot must be flat and firm, and the truck needs clearance from low branches and wires.

Path width
48 inches clear, gates included
Dolly distance
About 15 feet from where the truck parks
Ground
Flat and firm: concrete, gravel, packed dirt or level grass
Overhead
Clear of low trees, carports and power lines for the truck
Access
Gate open or code given; dogs put away
Service
Same spot must stay reachable for weekly service

How is the porta potty serviced while I have it?

Long-term and construction porta potties get 1 service visit per week, included in the 28-day rate. Each visit pumps the tank, cleans and sanitizes the inside, deodorizes, and restocks toilet paper and sanitizer. Event units arrive clean, and multi-day events can add mid-event service.

Need extra service before a big weekend or inspection? Call and we add a visit. In June–September we suggest twice-weekly service for crews over 10. If you add your own padlock, give us the code or key so the driver can service the unit.

How do I extend or end a porta potty rental?

To extend a long-term porta potty rental, do nothing — the 28-day cycle renews until you call. To end the rental, call 2 business days before the pickup date you want. Event extensions are added by phone, and we confirm the new pickup day on the call.

Pickup happens on the date you choose, Monday through Saturday. Clear the path, unlock any padlock and leave the gate open. For month-to-month jobs, see long-term rentals; for a weekend, see short-term rentals.

Booking and pickup questions

Do I come get the porta potty, or do you drop it off?

We deliver and pick up with our own truck. You just mark the spot and keep the path clear.

Do I need to print and sign anything?

No. We text a secure payment link and confirm by phone. No printing and no email signing needed.

Can someone else pay for the rental?

Yes. We can text the payment link to whoever is paying — a parent, a church treasurer or a contractor.

Do I need to call for pickup, or will you come on the end date?

Event pickups are set when you book. Long-term rentals renew every 28 days until you call, so call 2 business days before you want pickup.

Can I add a handwashing station or another unit later?

Yes. Call and we add it to the order. If it goes out on a separate trip, the quote shows any extra delivery line first.

Can you move the unit to another spot later?

Yes, on a service visit or a scheduled stop. Call ahead and mark the new spot; it needs the same 48-inch path and flat ground.

Am I responsible if someone vandalizes or tips it over?

Normal wear is on us. Vandalism, fire, tipping by others or graffiti are billed at repair cost, so place the unit where it’s watched.
