How fast can you deliver a porta potty to Alamo?
Alamo is about 16 minutes from our yard in Edinburg, east of Pharr and San Juan on Expressway 83. Call by 12:00 PM, Monday through Saturday, for same-day delivery anywhere in ZIP 78516. Drops south toward the Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge on Alamo Road take a few minutes longer.
Alamo Road (FM 907) is the main north–south route through town. RV resorts and mobile home parks along it often have speed bumps and gate codes, so send the code and lot number with your order.

Do you rent porta potties or pump RV tanks for Winter Texans in Alamo?
Yes. About 53,000 Winter Texan households come to the Valley from November through March, and Alamo is one of their main stops. We rent porta potties for RV sites and park events, and we offer scheduled pump-outs of RV black tanks and holding tanks on Hidalgo County route days.
Resort activity halls host dances, potlucks and craft shows all winter. When the clubhouse restrooms can’t keep up, 1 or 2 standard units plus a handwashing station near the pavilion usually cover it. RV and camper toilet rentals and pump-outs explains route days.
Do I need a permit for porta potties at an Alamo event?
Alamo did not list a separate special event permit form online when we checked in October 2026. The city’s Planning and Development department handles conditional use permits and zoning, at (956) 787-0006, option 4. Alamo Parks and Recreation, (956) 787-6699, rents park pavilions for parties.
See the City of Alamo Planning and Development page and the Alamo Parks and Recreation page. Confirm with your permit office or venue before a public event.
Which unit fits Alamo-specific jobs?
Alamo jobs run from RV resort events and pavilion birthday parties to home builds and raw-land campers. A standard unit covers 50 guests for 4 hours. Wheelchair-accessible units matter more here because many resort guests are retirees; plan at least 1 per cluster and book 7–10 days ahead.
| Alamo job | Unit we usually send | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| RV resort dance or potluck, 120 guests | 3 standard units + 1 wheelchair-accessible unit | Ask the office where units may sit |
| Birthday at the Sports Complex pavilion | 1–2 standard units + handwashing | Check with Parks and Recreation |
| Camper on raw land, no septic | 1 standard unit, monthly | Send a map pin if there’s no address |
| Watermelon Festival vendor booth | Standard unit + handwashing station | Follow the city’s vendor rules |
| Home build in town | 1 standard unit, weekly service | 28-day billing |
Accessible units are wheelchair-accessible, built to ADA design guidelines — confirm with your venue. See the U.S. Access Board ADA guide and our wheelchair-accessible unit page.
