Is porta potty rental priced per day, per week or per month?
Brian Rental Works prices porta potty rentals 2 ways: one flat event rate for 1–3 days, or a 28-day cycle for construction and long-term jobs. A 28-day cycle starts on delivery day and renews automatically until you call for pickup. There is no daily or weekly rate.
A 28-day cycle is not a calendar month. If your unit arrives on March 3, the first cycle ends March 30 and the next one starts March 31. A month with 31 days does not cost more — you pay by cycle, not by month.
Call 2 business days before you want pickup. That stops billing at the end of the current cycle and keeps a new cycle from starting. Planning a project longer than a few months? See long-term porta potty rentals.

- 1–3 days, weekend included, delivery and pickup in the quote
- 28-day cycle

What 5 things change the price of a portable toilet rental?
Five things set the price of a portable toilet rental: location, unit type, dates and length, service frequency, and quantity. Distance from our Edinburg yard and the unit you pick move the total most. A same-day order can add a rush fee of about $50–$125, shown before you pay.
| Price factor | Why it changes the total | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Location | Drive time from our yard at 2302 S Tourist Dr | Edinburg ZIPs 78539, 78541 and 78542 are the shortest runs |
| 2. Unit type | A trailer has power, water and A/C; a standard unit has none | Use standard units plus a handwash station when guests don’t need a sink inside |
| 3. Dates & length | One event rate vs. 28-day cycles; same-day adds a rush fee | Book a few days ahead and use the Friday–Monday window |
| 4. Service frequency | Each extra pump-out is a truck visit | Weekly is included on long-term units; add a 2nd visit only for big crews in summer |
| 5. Quantity | More units cost more, but delivery is quoted per order | Put every unit and station on one order and one delivery |
What should an itemized porta potty quote list?
An itemized porta potty quote should list 6 lines: unit type and quantity, rental period, servicing, delivery and pickup, any rush fee, and sales tax. Brian Rental Works sends that full list before you pay. If a quote is one lump number, ask for each line before you give a card.
- Unit type and quantityExample: 2 standard porta potties and 1 handwashing station.
- Rental periodEvent dates (for example Friday drop, Monday pickup) or the 28-day cycle start date.
- ServicingWeekly service on long-term units, or any extra mid-event visit you asked for.
- Delivery and pickupOne line for the order — not a hidden charge per unit or per trip.
- Rush fee, if anyOnly on some same-day orders, and you see it before you pay.
- Sales taxRemoved for tax-exempt groups that send a certificate.
We take Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and debit. Commercial accounts can use a PO and net terms after approval, and we send a W-9 and certificate of insurance on request. Full details are in our rental terms.
Why is the invoice higher than the porta potty quote?
An invoice comes in higher than the quote when fees are added after you book — fuel surcharges, card fees, convenience fees or removal fees. In 133 rental calls we reviewed, fees added after the quote was the top frustration. Brian Rental Works adds no fuel surcharge after the quote.
| Fee callers saw from other companies | What it usually means | How our quote handles it |
|---|---|---|
| Fuel surcharge | Added to the invoice after you agreed to a price | No fuel surcharge is added after the quote |
| Credit card fee | A percent added for paying by card | Ask before you book; every charge is listed on the quote you approve |
| Convenience or “field” fee | Broker markup for finding a local hauler | We own the trucks and units, so there is no middleman line |
| Removal or pickup fee | A charge to take the unit away at the end | Pickup is part of the quote from day one |

How can I lower the cost of a porta potty rental?
Four habits lower porta potty rental cost the most: book at least 2 days ahead to skip a rush fee, use the Friday-to-Monday weekend window, pair standard units with a handwashing station instead of all deluxe units, and put every unit on 1 order so delivery is quoted once.
- Book aheadCalling a few days out avoids the same-day rush fee. Book weekend events about 1 week ahead, and wheelchair-accessible units or trailers 7–10 days ahead.
- Use the Friday–Monday windowWe drop off Friday (or Thursday) and pick up Monday. You pay the event rate only — no charge for the extra days.
- Standard + handwash vs. deluxeOne handwashing station serves up to 4 standard units. For 4 toilets, 4 standard units + 1 station (about $695–$1,065) usually costs less than 4 deluxe units (about $1,000–$1,500).
- Consolidate deliveryOrder toilets, stations and any accessible unit together. Delivery and pickup are quoted per order, not per unit.
- Right-size the countUse our porta potty calculator so you don’t rent units you won’t use.
What does a porta potty rental cost for a party, a home build or a wedding?
Three common Edinburg jobs show the math: a 60-guest backyard party needs 2 standard units and 1 handwashing station, an 8-week home build with 6 workers needs 1 serviced unit for 2 cycles, and a 150-guest wedding with a bar needs about 7 units plus accessible and handwashing units.
| Example | What we’d send | Typical 2026 starting range | How we got there |
|---|---|---|---|
| Backyard party, 60 guests, 4 hours, food | 2 standard units + 1 handwashing station | about $395–$615 + tax | 60 ÷ 50 = 1.2 → 2 units (2 × $150–$225 = $300–$450) + 1 station ($95–$165) |
| Home build, crew of 6, 8 weeks | 1 standard unit, weekly service | about $330–$450 + delivery/pickup + tax | 8 weeks = 56 days = 2 cycles of 28 days (2 × $165–$225) |
| Wedding, 150 guests, 5 hours, bar and food | 7 standard + 1 wheelchair-accessible + 2 handwashing stations | about $1,440–$2,230 + tax | 7 × $150–$225 = $1,050–$1,575; + $200–$325; + 2 × $95–$165 |
| Same wedding, trailer option | 1 restroom trailer + 1 wheelchair-accessible unit | about $1,400–$3,125 + tax | Trailer $1,200–$2,800 by stalls and distance; + $200–$325. We confirm stall count for 150 guests on the call. |

Ranges add up the typical starting price of each unit. Tax, distance and a rush fee can change the final number. For a wedding, see wedding restroom options; for a crew, see construction site toilets.
